Our Staff

Our teachers all have one thing in common: they have all previously taught at Weist Barron Studios. A historical perspective—in 1956, commercial director Bob Barron met radio actor and announcer Dwight Weist. TV was new, and commercials were in their infancy. Bob and Dwight were inspired to develop the idea of teaching newcomers to audition successfully in front of the camera. Together they created WEIST BARRON to teach actors the fundamentals of commercial speech, on-camera performance, and most importantly, how to project their individual personality. WB Workshops is devoted to following their example and happily sharing the high level of professionalism in education as its predecessors.
